Christmas 2010

Hello,
I hope you all had an AMAZING Christmas, and are enjoying the sales! I am! I went shopping a little, and did a haul, so PLEASE check out my YouTube Channel! www.YouTube.com/FashionistaEmilea
I also did a makeup tutorial on Katy Perry! Please check out that video! This is how the look turned out....

I have more pictures in the video on YouTube...

but anyhoo...let's get started with how my Christmas went!

On Christmas eve, I had to deliver some presents to my friends, Astraea and Sierra, and then I was off to my sister's for Christmas. We had some snacks and opened presents to Christmas Jingles on the radio. I tried filming, but I had the wrong SD card in my new camera, and it didn't tape audio :( Here are some pictures!

Hangin' out. I was wearing a cute dress from ROSS, a scarf from my friend Astraea, vintage knit sweater, and gray leggings.

My nice, nephew, and dogs.

Christmas tree.

My nephew Landon, acting like Superman.

Playin' around!

My brother Danny and his gift.

Landon and Maddie. Landon holding up his "teck deck".

My Hello Kitty blanket from Danny! I love it!

Maddie's whiteboard :)

Some Presents On Christmas Morning:

My "Elf On A Shelf" I got for Christmas. It's a vintage decoration :)

Hello Kitty slippers!

My Obey jacket from Zumiez. I love the "Day of the Dead" skull on it. It glows in the dark!

I hope you all had a great Christmas, you have a happy new year, and set goals! I will be posting some "top styles" posts hopefully tomorrow and Friday! :)

A Little Christmas Sparkle

So, as I did with Thanksgiving, I wanted to list different ideas for Christmas outfits. Obviously, not everyone can afford to, or actually does, just go buy a new outfit for Christmas. Let's be honest. Unless you are going to some fancy party, you probably want to just work with what you have...or atleast try to. So..here are my favorite ideas/examples for Christmas!

CARDIES

More sparkle...and another thing that's in..STRIPES! This adorable Arty Cardy is not only ON SALE, but is something you could already have in your closet. If not, a plain cardy is good too paired with a busy shirt. Even more stripes!

This sparkly cover-up is so cute, and goes with everything.

VINTAGE FRINGE! I guess my point today is...Cardies are in! And can dress up anything. Although, this one might be used to dress down something.

CASUAL

Going with a little more casual look, and over-sized shirt is comfy, in style(especially with the leopard) and you can even make your own! Taking a shirt and cutting it to go off-the-shoulder is a cheap way to go DIY and it's easy. Pair it with leggings or dark-wash jeans!

Like these leggings!

This is a Paris-inspired look, I'm thinking. I love this whole outfit, but the item I am focusing on is the tunic. STRIPES!

This sweater-dress is a great example of something ANY body-type can wear. I might not be able to wear a snug tunic, like the last picture because of my height and stature, but this is something anyone, tall or short could wear.

OH YOU FANCY, HUH?

This dress is for a more dressed up event. I love the jewlery in this look, it's great! You could dress down this look by wearing...and you really have to picture this right to get it...but a dark beanie. I know it sounds crazy, but it could work!

THE PARTNERS IN CRIME

Dress up a simple outfit with a belt. If you are short like this, choose a skinny belt and do an empire waist look with this baby!

Taller? Use a thick belt.

I love it when people wear bright colors like this, that remind you of spring, in the winter.

Purple is a winter color. Any shade. Enough said.

A WOMAN'S BEST FRIEND

I ABOSLUTELY LOVE THESE. They are great because of the little heel, especially if you are traveling alot. If you have big calves like me, the little cover/fold should hide it.

NUDE! Once again, enough said. Also, small heel! Don't pick something uncomfortable!

These are all examples! I hope that maybe atleast one person was inspired throught this for something...blogging inspires me everyday...so does shopping! ;)

How Much Is Too Much?-Glitter and Rhinestones...

So I really am not trying to do a post only when I have a video...this just keeps happening! But I did post a vlog..actually2! My first ones! We started at Pizza Hut, went to Pepsi Lights, and went to Storybook Land! Unfortunately, Amanda was already dropped off when we decided to go to Storybook Land, which is why she isn't in that part...but we still had fun! :) I got a new camera yesterday and am sooo excited to video tape and take pictures with it!

Click for my vlogs!

Anyhoo....today's post is about rhinestones and glitter. I was inspired to make my post about this because Saturday I was at the mall and was at this new store "Elise" or something like that. They had this top that SCREAMED "Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera circa 2000". It was bad. It was a white skimpy vest with rhinestones EVERYWHERE. Then I wondered why I didn't like it. I LOVE rhinestones. You should see some of my past cellphone covers....So I wanted to discuss how much is too much.
Personally, if it's on a phone cover, I don't care how many there are. It's a phone cover! On shirts and pants, is where I start getting picky and where it starts getting tacky. Like when it's a jean jacket covered in rhinestones...ick? Yes. I'm not trying to be negative...but it just doesn't look right! When it's jeans...I think pockets are OK. Studs are more in now anyway. I think it really depends on how tastefully done it is. The size, the colors, what else is on it. I mean, you have seen my past posts....I LOVE sequins right now. It's all up to the scenario. Rhinestones are not by any means "out", but watch out for going overboard. So where do you draw the line? I say, it starts when you buy a bedazzler. ;) Choose your opinion, then post it!

Rhinestones the right way:

A little bedazzle goes a long way! Love the broach on it too! See, a cute bedazzled jean jacket does exist! It's a Christmas miracle! ;)

A-DOR-A-BLE.

It speaks for itself.

OK, this one's just for fun :) I found it on google under "Rhinestones gone wrong" WHAT?! THIS IS DEFINITELY RIGHT! ;)

Post your opinion! FOLLOW, SUBSCRIBE, TWEET!

ps
last year I got a bedazzler for Christmas, I thought it was broken so I took it back...I don't think it was broken though, I just couldn't figure out how to put it together....:)

Moroccan Hair Oil Update...New CHRISTMAS NAIL TUTORIAL

Hi guys! Over the weekend, I got a chance to make another tutorial, check it out! I also will be doing vlogs(video blogging) if I am doing something interesting and have my camera, so subscribe to me on YouTube!

The other part of this blog is about that Moroccan Oil that came with my nail polish I ordered from Sally Beauty Supply. I finally decided to use it, after hearing it was really good..and it is! It smells delicious, like nothing you have ever smelt, and it keeps friziness down and makes your hair more moist without making it greasy. I have REALLY bad split ends right now, so I have been putting it on my tips of my hair and I think it has improved it's shine and health overall. My hair used to look like straw at the tips, but not it looks really nice. It's only been two days since I have started using it! Be sure that if you do get it, you don't use a lot though, or it will make your hair greasy. Also, don't put it up by your roots, they give out enough oil! Unless you hair is extremely dry up there. I haven't been blogging as often I guess, I kind of mention why in the video...I just started a new term in school too, and my classes are really easy, with barely no homework, but for some reason, I have been so exhausted lately. I think it's the holidays...
