Top Styles of 2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE BLEEPS!

As promised, I wanted to do a "top styles of 2010" blog post. These are just in my opinion, what I've seen the most. So...let's get started!

In no particular order....

THE TOP STYLES OF 2010

1. Zippers!

I have seen zippers on almost everything. Shoes, hats, hair pieces, dresses, pants...
You know how there used to be buttons everywhere? Now it's zippers!

Will it last though 2011: Yes. It's just gettin' started!

2. Studs!

Once again, they are on everything! It goes along with the "rocker" style that's in. We are all being a little rocker-ish. From our hair to our makeup. Just look at Rihanna's "Co-Jack" hair! Is it "Rocker Chic" or just crazy?! I say chic. Work it Rihanna!

Will it last through 2011: Yes. We aren't just getting started...but it's still going. I think it might end soon though. Just my opinion...but then again...I'm not a doctor in style...

3. Nude!

I've talked about it before and here it goes again. The fashion world is lovin' the nude right now. It may have been around before this year, but I've only noticed it this year.

Will it last through 2011: Yes. Expect a nice shower of nude for a while...but then again...I'm not a weather woman....

4. Lace!

Lace is here, probably for a while. It adds to the rocker style. Full out lace tops, or just little strips. Full-out lace gloves, even on nails!

Will it last though 2011: Yes, but I think it may be leaving soon...kind of like the studs.

5. Knit Cardies!

They are the perfect partner in crime. Knit cardies. The perfect accessory that can make any outfit. It can be slimming even. No wonder it's on my list...

Will it last through 2011: Yes. I don't think it will ever leave...

6. Ruffles!

Look at the red carpets. What's on it? Ruffles. It's popular on dresses, but also in scarves. This time it's the high-end designers and celebs' fault! They started it! Don't get me wrong, I do like them...sometimes...only sometimes though!

Will it last through 2011: Oh yes. Keep the ruffles comin'. And not the chips...

7. Bows!

Earrings and shirts, these things have been around for a while. I have seen them sooo much more this year though. It's like a bow explosion happened. The bow types remind me of pretzels though...so...are we going to be wearing pretzels next?

Will it last through 2011: Atleast through January/February and early spring. They were big this winter/fall.

So, I said it in the last post, and I will say it again. And again.

"Confidence never goes out of style."

I feel like I may have heard that before. But maybe not. I know it's my new favorite saying. Just like the saying I came up with yesterday.

"Just because you have money doesn't mean you have to spend it"

Referring to the fact that you don't need to spend a lot. No matter how much you have. It's OK to save!
